Spring Nature Trail at Discovery Land

Pebble's Rocky Eggs

Celebrate Spring with Fern, Timber and Pebble!

Embark on an egg-straordinary journey to discover the story of Pebble and his rocky eggs as we celebrate the beauty of our natural world coming to life again after its long winter slumber.

Open until the 12th May

We’re proud to be in the Regional Finals of the Muddy Stilettos Awards as Best Family Attraction. If you’ve enjoyed visiting us, we’d be most grateful for your vote.

Priory Farm Discovery Walk

As you head off on your adventure....

…up in the distance, high on the hill, you’ll see our Giant’s Chair. Take a seat and you’ll really feel like you’re king of the castle!

On our family nature trail you’ll find our new guardians Fern, Timber and Pebble. Deep in the woods, visit Timber’s new treetop home, then rush off over the wibbly wobbly bridge, down to Fern’s house.

Make sure that you don’t miss our fairy city as you wind your way along the woodland walk, which is carpeted with bluebells in the spring.

Down at the lake, you’ll find our hungry fish. Ring the bell and watch as the water becomes alive with hundreds of carp, ready to be fed! Don’t forget to buy some of our approved fish food at the entrance (unavailable during the winter).

You’ll no doubt come across our resident guinea fowls on your visit, which are sure to keep everyone entertained.

Did you know a group of guinea fowl is called a confusion? You’ll see why when you meet our feathered friends!

Shepherd's Hut Café

After all that fresh air and fun, you’ll be ready for a sit down and a bite to eat! Our Shepherd’s Hut Café here at Discovery Land offers selection of delicious hot drinks, refreshments, sweet treats and ice-cream.

The Discovery Walk is a fun 2 hour walk with fantastic views and activities for all ages. You could easily spend a long time here. There's lots to explore and climb on, a hill to roll down and fish to feed! We were all delighted to find that fairies had moved in to Bluebell Wood. Thank you Priory Farm for another lovely afternoon.

Great place to visit for families or friends. They kept it interesting for the kids as the walk around with questions to answer and play equipment along the way. It was pouring with rain when we went but we still managed to enjoy it.

Halloween spooky trail on the Discovery Walk was great fun, just the right length for our toddler and four year old. We also popped into the Farm Shop and got fresh products from shop - great pies and meat! Lovely family day out - highly recommend, we will be back for sure.

A fantastic place for all the family, plenty for youngsters to do and see. The nature trail is informative and a suitable length for little legs to manage (the route is still push chair friendly) and the kids certainly won't get bored (climbing and scrambling and tunneling and exploring to be had at every corner) price wise it was very reasonable, although everything is extra. But all in all I (and the kids) can't wait for the next visit! 🙂
