The Halloween Trail at Discovery Land

Welcome to The Festival of Nature’s Hallows!

Join us this October and immerse yourself in a world of spooky wonder, where families can embrace the thrill of Halloween while connecting with the captivating beauty of our natural world.

As summer turns to autumn, we rely on our fickle friend The Weather Witch to balance the weather for a fruitful pumpkin harvest.

However, this season holds a peculiar twist. Due to the unpredictable climate, she is struggling with her weather spells leading to storms and bucketloads of rain. And all this rain has brought back the mischievous Mud Monsters!

Put on your wellies, sing for the autumn sun, and join us to calm the Weather Witch’s storm. Follow Fern, Timber and Pebble’s Tranquil Tricks to help restore the balance and banish the Mud Monsters, and you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful pumpkin rainbow!

The Festival of Nature’s Hallows promises a spellbinding adventure for all the family, combining gentle spookiness with an immersive exploration of the woodlands and a celebration of our natural world.

What to expect on our Halloween Trail

A Spooky Twist

All of our beloved Discovery Land favourites will be getting a haunting makeover, adding an extra dose of chills to your adventures. Can you hear the whispers echo through the branches at Timber’s Treehouse? Journey through our spooky tunnels beneath our hill-top castle? Test your bravery at the Junk Dragon? And in the Music Garden, eerie melodies fill the air, sending shivers down your spine!

Animal Play Features

Encounter our animal play features along the trail, including interactive elements that children can explore and play within. Hang like a bat, jump like a squirrel, fly like a butterfly, hide like a hedgehog – helping your young ones build strength, coordination and balance.

Secret's Books

Along the trail, you’ll find our Secrets Books, revealing Fern, Timber and Pebble’s Tranquil Tricks to calm the Weather Witch’s storm. This year, our seasonal theme focuses on teaching children self-regulation, emotional resilience, and techniques for staying calm when things feel overwhelming. Helping your little ones learn valuable life skills in a fun and enchanting way.

Climb the Rainbow

Behold the awe-inspiring Giant Pumpkin Rainbow, a vibrant and interactive play structure that beckons our young explorers. Watch as children gleefully climb and navigate this larger-than-life rainbow, discovering new heights and hidden wonders along the way.

Giant Pumpkin Chair

Perched high on the hill, you’ll find our Giant Pumpkin Chair. Take a seat and feel like the king or queen of the castle, whilst also providing breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. And don’t forget to capture the moment on camera, our giant pumpkin chair is a favourite photo opportunity!

Broomstick Driving School

Introducing the Broomstick Driving School, featuring three broomsticks for kids to climb on and enjoy. Test your balance on the wobbly broomstick, show off your skills by “surfing” on another, or take a ride on the static broomstick. It’s a spellbinding adventure for young witches and wizards.

Meet the Mud Monsters

Brace yourselves for an encounter with our mischievous Mud Monsters, who’ll keep you on your toes whilst exploring our woodland. Can you spot them all?

Giant Witch's Hat

Take cover from the Weather Witch’s storm as you climb under her giant willow hat! It’s the perfect spot to ride out an Autumn shower or just for a fantastic photo opportunity with friends.
