July Cheese of the Month
Yoredale Wensleydale
Fresh, creamy, and full of character, Yoredale Wensleydale is a beautifully traditional British cheese, handmade at Curlew Dairy in the heart of Wensleydale. Made with raw milk from a single local herd of Holstein and Ayrshire cows, the cheese truly reflects the landscape it comes from. The cows graze the lush pastures of the Yorkshire Dales through the spring and summer months, giving the milk, and ultimately the cheese, a wonderful sense of place.
Delicately milky and buttery, with a clean, fresh flavour and smooth, gently crumbly texture, Yoredale is a wonderful example of traditional Yorkshire cheesemaking. Delicious simply served with crisp crackers and chutney, it’s a must-have for any British cheeseboard.
