From the picturesque landscapes in Kent to the rolling hills of Surrey and beyond, each vineyard tells a unique story of passion, innovation, and a deep connection to their land.

Join us on a journey through some of the exceptional English wine brands we proudly stock, each offering a distinct taste of its region’s terroir and heritage.

Nyetimber (Sussex, Hampshire and Kent)

Nyetimber’s journey began in 1988 when the founders recognized the potential of the Sussex terroir for producing world-class sparkling wines. Since then, Nyetimber has been dedicated to crafting wines of unparalleled quality, drawing inspiration from the traditions of Champagne while embracing the unique characteristics of the English countryside. Their commitment to excellence is evident in every bottle, from their flagship Classic Cuvée to their exquisite Sparkling Rosé.

Nyetimber’s success lies in its meticulous vineyard management and the exceptional quality of its grapes. Spread across several separate sites, their vines are perfectly suited to the greensand and chalk soils of Sussex, Hampshire and Kent. The gentle south-facing slopes allow for the best possible exposure to the English sunshine, ensuring the grapes achieve the optimum level of ripeness before harvest. Nyetimber’s wines exhibit a distinct elegance and complexity, with fine bubbles and vibrant acidity that dance on the palate.

Fitz (West Sussex)

Fitz wine was created to offer a refreshing alternative to traditional English sparkling wines, which are typically made using the traditional method used in Champagne, resulting in a deep, biscuity, dry taste from ageing on lees (yeast). While this style appeals to some, Fitz aims to provide a more approachable, fruit-driven wine by employing a different production method.

To bring diversity to the market, Fitz experimented with different grape varieties and utilised the Charmat method of secondary fermentation, similar to the process used for Prosecco. This method, combined with carefully chosen grape varietals, results in a fresh, fruity, and easy-drinking wine that many find enjoyable for any occasion. Fitz is proudly made in England, using the best grapes sourced from across the UK, to create a uniquely different sparkling wine that fills the gap for those who prefer a lighter, fruitier beverage over the traditional Champagne-style wines.
