Useful Information

How long does it take?

The Discovery Walk can be completed in around 60 minutes, though you may wish to linger longer at certain points throughout the walk. If you include the Treasure Trail, we would recommend at least 1.5 hours.

If you’re joining the PYO Pumpkin & Tractor Ride, please allow at least an hour for the ride, time in the field and return journey. Return journeys will be leaving the field every 15 minutes so you can join the queue at a time that suits you.

Is it suitable for pushchairs?

The Discovery Walk is accessible for buggies, however please note we are in a natural environment where the ground can be hilly and bumpy in places.

If you are joining us for a Tractor Ride to our Pick-Your-Own Pumpkin fields, we request that pushchairs are left in the car, as they won’t be permitted on the trailer.

Visiting with dogs

Sorry, dogs are not permitted on the Discovery Walk or at the Pick-You-Own Pumpkin Field.

Where does the PYO Tractor depart from?

Please park at The Discovery Walk. Upon arrival, please follow the signs to the tractor ride departure area, just a short walk from the parking area next to our Pirate Ship and Picnic Area.

Is it suitable for wheelchair users?

There is very limited access for wheelchairs at The Discovery Walk, therefore it will probably be necessary to stay around the main entrance area. To reflect this limited access, we do not charge for wheelchair users.

How much are the pumpkins?

Pumpkin prices start at £1.50 and are priced by size. Please note the entire farm operates card only payments.

Can I walk to the Pumpkin Fields?

Sorry, due to the location guests must travel via Tractor to the Pumpkin Fields and are not permitted to walk to/from the fields.

Facilities

Toilets and baby-changing facilities are available at the Discovery Walk.

School trips, parties & groups

School trips, birthday parties and groups welcome by arrangement. Please get in touch to find out more.

The Discovery Walk is a fun 2 hour walk with fantastic views and activities for all ages. You could easily spend a long time here. There's lots to explore and climb on, a hill to roll down and fish to feed! We were all delighted to find that fairies had moved in to Bluebell Wood. Thank you Priory Farm for another lovely afternoon.

Great place to visit for families or friends. They kept it interesting for the kids as the walk around with questions to answer and play equipment along the way. It was pouring with rain when we went but we still managed to enjoy it.

Halloween spooky trail on the Discovery Walk was great fun, just the right length for our toddler and four year old. We also popped into the Farm Shop and got fresh products from shop - great pies and meat! Lovely family day out - highly recommend, we will be back for sure.

A fantastic place for all the family, plenty for youngsters to do and see. The nature trail is informative and a suitable length for little legs to manage (the route is still push chair friendly) and the kids certainly won't get bored (climbing and scrambling and tunneling and exploring to be had at every corner) price wise it was very reasonable, although everything is extra. But all in all I (and the kids) can't wait for the next visit! 🙂
