Green Thunder Pesto Whirls

Combining the savoury flavours of cheddar, roasted garlic and herbs.

Green Thunder Pesto Whirls

Ingredients

1 pack of fresh, ready-rolled puff pastry
1 tbsp fresh basil pesto
80g Snowdonia Green Thunder Mature Cheddar, grated

All ingredients are available to purchase in our Farm Shop

Method

  1. Preheat a fan oven to 200°C.
  2. Unroll the pastry until flat.
  3. Spread the pesto thinly over the pastry, leaving a 2cm border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the pesto.
  5. Roll up the pastry tightly into a sausage shape and cut into 3cm discs, placing them flat on a non-stick baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and crispy.
  7. Cool on a wire rack and serve while still warm, or cool and store it in an air-tight container in the fridge.
